How it works

Every tool on Slaytic Converter runs as JavaScript code that executes inside your browser tab. When you open a file, it is read directly into your browser's memory using the Web File API. It is never sent to any server.

Processing - merging, splitting, converting, signing, compressing, redacting, and OCR for PDF tools; resizing, converting, and editing for image and video tools; and more across the rest of the toolkit - happens entirely on your own device using open-source libraries (including pdf-lib, PDF.js, and Tesseract.js). The finished file is saved directly to your computer from the browser. At no point does any document data leave your machine.

What we do not collect

• We do not receive, store, or access any files you open or create.
• We do not read the content of any document you process.
• We do not collect email addresses, names, or any personal information.
• We do not require an account or sign-up of any kind.
• We do not set any first-party tracking cookies.

Analytics

We use Plausible, a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics service, to understand how many people visit the site and which tools are used most. This data is aggregate, anonymous, and never tied to individual users or their files. Plausible does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the website. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ad Settings. Ads are shown on the website only, never inside the tool interface while you are processing a file.

Third-party libraries

The toolkit loads the following libraries at runtime. These CDN requests may log your IP address as a standard server log; Slaytic Converter has no control over those logs.

Children

Slaytic Converter is a general-purpose document tool. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
