1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Slaytic Converter at tools.slaytic.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

Slaytic Converter provides a free, browser-based toolkit of 236 tools spanning PDF, image, video, calculator, AI writing, file conversion and other utilities. All file processing occurs locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not receive, store, or transmit any files or document content. The service is provided free of charge.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Slaytic Converter for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

• Use the service to process files you do not own or have explicit permission to modify.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the service.
• Use the service to process or distribute material that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service beyond what is publicly available.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the service in a way that degrades availability for other users.

4. Intellectual property

The Slaytic Converter interface, branding, and original code are owned by Slaytic. The underlying open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, Tesseract.js, and others) are distributed under their respective licences (MIT, Apache 2.0).

You retain full ownership of any files you process using the service. We claim no rights over your documents.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

Slaytic Converter is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce results suitable for any particular purpose.

File processing is performed locally by your browser using open-source libraries. Results may vary depending on the complexity of your file, browser version, and available device memory. Always keep a backup copy of important documents before processing.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slaytic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of your use of the service.

Because all processing occurs on your device and we never receive your files, our maximum liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is zero.

7. User responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to process any file you open in the toolkit.
• Maintaining backup copies of important documents.
• Verifying that output files meet the requirements of any organisation or jurisdiction you submit them to.
• Using the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

8. Electronic signatures

The Sign PDF tool produces a simple electronic signature. While electronic signatures are legally recognised in many jurisdictions, we make no representation that signatures produced using this tool will satisfy the requirements of any specific legal framework, contract, or authority. Always verify the signature requirements of your specific use case.

9. Privacy

Our privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. The short version: we never receive your files and we do not collect personal information.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance.
