How this works in your browser
Removal is the complement of extraction, and it is implemented that way. Rather than deleting objects out of the existing file, the tool works out which pages you did not select and copies those into a brand new document with pdf-lib. Because every page number you type is resolved against the original document before anything is copied, deletions never cascade and shift the numbering under you. Nothing is re-rendered, so the surviving pages keep their exact text, fonts and image quality, and the pages you dropped leave no trace in the output rather than lingering as hidden content.

Can I preview which pages will be removed?

Can I undo the removal after saving?
No - the saved file no longer contains the removed pages. Always keep a copy of the original if you may need to revert.
Can I remove non-contiguous pages?
Yes. Enter them as a comma-separated list, for example "2, 5, 9-11", and all those pages will be removed in one pass.
Do the page numbers shift as pages are removed?
No, and this is the detail that trips people up elsewhere. Your numbers all refer to the original document, so "2, 5, 9" means the second, fifth and ninth pages as they are now. You do not need to mentally renumber after each deletion.
Does removing a page actually delete its content from the file?
Yes. The output is a new document built only from the pages you kept, so a removed page is not hidden or marked invisible, it is simply absent. That matters when you are stripping an internal or confidential section before sharing.
Should I use this or Extract Pages?
Whichever is the shorter list. Removing 3 pages from 90 is a removal; keeping 3 pages from 90 is an extraction. Both produce the same kind of result, so pick the one that needs less typing.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Thumbnails and the cleaned-up file are both generated inside your browser tab.
