What goes on a shipping label?
A shipping label needs the recipient name and full address, the sender return address, and any order or tracking reference. Slaytic formats these for printing on standard label stock in your browser, so customer addresses are never uploaded anywhere.
How this works in your browser
Uses the shared document engine in a label layout: the parties block becomes the sender and recipient address panes, the line-item and totals sections are switched off, and the page is tiled so several labels print per sheet. The recipient block is rendered at a larger size than the sender for the practical reason that couriers and sorting equipment treat the most prominent address as the destination. Nothing is transmitted, and the draft return address is stored locally so it is not retyped for every parcel.

Is this a postage label?
No, and the distinction matters. This prints the addresses; it does not buy postage or generate a carrier tracking barcode. You still need to pay for shipping through your carrier, who will supply their own label if tracking is included. Use this for the address block on plain packaging.
How should an address be laid out?
Recipient larger and lower-right, sender smaller and upper-left, both in plain block capitals with the postcode on its own line. Sorting equipment and couriers read the largest block lowest on the parcel as the destination, so an oversized sender address genuinely causes misdeliveries.
What size should I print?
Match your label stock. Common sizes are 4x6 inches for parcels and A6 for smaller items, and printing several to an A4 sheet works fine on plain paper with clear tape over the top. Keep the recipient address large enough to read at arm's length.
Should I include a phone number?
For couriers, yes. Most delivery services will call rather than return a parcel if they cannot find an address, and a missing number is a common reason a delivery fails on the first attempt.
Are the addresses uploaded?
No. Labels are generated in your browser, which matters given they contain customers' home addresses.
