What is a receipt generator?
A receipt generator produces proof that a payment has been received, showing what was bought, how much was paid, the payment method and the date. It differs from an invoice, which requests payment. Slaytic builds receipts in your browser with no account and no upload.
How this works in your browser
Built on the shared document engine, configured with receipt wording and a payment-method field in place of the invoice's due date. The document is directly editable rather than form-driven, totals compute live, and output goes through the browser's print pipeline so the PDF keeps selectable text at a small file size. The draft is stored in local storage on your own device, which is the practical reason to use this rather than an online receipt service when the transaction involves a named individual.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a receipt and an invoice?
An invoice requests payment; a receipt confirms payment was made. They are often confused, and issuing the wrong one causes real friction: a client who receives a receipt assumes the matter is closed, while one who receives an invoice for money already paid will assume you have lost track.
What has to be on a receipt?
At minimum the date, who paid, who received, what it was for, the amount, and the payment method. If you are registered for sales tax or VAT, the tax amount and your registration number are usually required as well, so check your local rules.
Do I have to issue receipts?
It varies by jurisdiction and transaction type, and in several places a receipt must be issued on request for cash payments. Beyond any legal duty it is simply good practice, since it is the buyer's proof of purchase and your record that the debt was settled.
Can I use this for a private sale?
Yes, and it is one of the more useful cases. For a used item sold between individuals the receipt is often the only record either side has. For vehicles and other titled goods, check whether your local authority requires a specific bill of sale form as well.
Is any of this uploaded?
No. The receipt is built in your browser and the draft stays on your device.
